JAWS PANKRATION 2021 will feature simultaneous translation using Pocketalk!
We will be using Source Next's Pocketalk, which is something we've been thinking about since the planning phase of the event.
Distribute Pocketalk to all the speakers!
We dared not to tell when recruiting CFPs, we purchased as many Pocketalk as the number of the speakers and send them to the all the speakers from JAWS PANKRATION 2021.
Due to the circumstances of COVID-19, there were some problems this time, such as not being able to send them directly from Japan or delays in delivery to the speakers. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Pocketalk is a gift for all the speakers, even if you don't receive it by the day of the event. We hope you will enjoy using it after the event.
Why do we use Pocketalk？
One of the JAWS-UG’value(statement) is Go global! , which is as follows.
AWS user groups are located all over the world, and exchanges actively across countries and regions.
<br As one of the worldwide user groups, we are happy to participate in the impartial exchange and contribute to the growth of the international user group.
JAWS-UG has invited Vpcgn people, but the number was limited. Additionally, we have not been able to convey JAWS-UG's enthusiasm to them. This is what we wanted to achieve. One of the purposes of this event is to make this happen.
One of the problems in communicating with people overseas is the language. Although we considered using AWS services, it was important for LT to be able to translate specific words such as AWS service names. From this point of view, Pocketalk is excellent in accuracy so we decided to use it.
