The 20 years history of the Japanese engineer community leading up to JAWS-UG

JAWS-UG is a large user group in Japan with a history of over 10 years. In Japan, the activities of the OSS engineering community have spread rapidly since around 2000. With the changes in technology affecting the world, JAWS-UG was born from these trends. In this session, I will talk about the 20-year history of the Japanese engineer community leading up to JAWS-UG with respect to the many engineers who were active with enthusiasm and energy.

What is the JAWS-UG?

JAWS-UG is a group (community) of people who use cloud computing provided by AWS (Amazon Web Services). JAWS-UG is a community of people who use cloud computing provided by AWS (Amazon Web Services). We hold study sessions and exchange events by volunteers for the purpose of learning and exchange that cannot be done alone. We have groups in the form of chapters all over Japan, and each group conducts activities based on its own theme. This community is a non-profit organization.
